An Intense and Demanding Course Both Physically and Mentally-Good Fun Though! The PADI Rescue Diver course is the first point in your diver training when you really start to focus your attention on assisting others and preventing and managing diving emergencies. This valuable 3 day course utilises detailed academic presentations and demanding in-water training exercises, in order to equip you with the skills to handle many forms of diving emergency. The Rescue Diver course is cited by many PADI diving professionals and students as being an 'intensive but very worthwhile course' and although diving emergencies are rare, knowing that you are trained and prepared is very reassuring and adds to your confidence when diving. Technically, you can start your Rescue Diver course after just nine dives, however at Scuba Addicts we insist you complete a minimum of 20 dives before enrolling on the Rescue Diver course. The reasons for this are simple, normally up until about 20 dives you are still working on your buoyancy skills, you are still working on your trim, you are trying not to lose your buddy and trying not to be the first to finish your air. In short, you lack experience and are so caught up in your own diving that you won't even notice a diving emergency. Get some experience of diving in
different environments and using new skills, have confidence in your
buoyancy and breathing control, learn how all your equipment works
and what to do if it doesn't, and then you will be ready for the
Rescue Diver course. |
