First Aid Skills For Life, Not Just Diving

The Emergency First Response course is a very worthwhile course aimed at introducing the normal, layperson to both basic and advanced first aid skills. EFR is a non-diving certification that has no minimum age requirements, so is ideal for all family members. This certification is a prerequisite for all PADI courses beyond Advanced Open Water Diver. EFR is an internationally recognised qualification that is valid for a period of two years, after which a short refresher is recommended

 

The full EFR course takes one day to complete and has two modules. 'Primary Care' focuses on the immediate skills needed to ensure the preservation of life such as rescue breaths and CPR. 'Secondary Care' focuses on providing care to a stabilised patient and diagnosing and treating various illnesses and injuries.

A survey by the British Red Cross showed that 70% of parents wouldn't know what to do in the event of an accident happening to their child. Don't be one of these people, be prepared. In one day you can learn the  the skills to perhaps save someones life.

Again, this isn't just a diving qualification, Emergency First Response is for everybody.

Prerequisites

Absolutely none. No minimum age limit, no diving certification required.

Moving On

This course satisfies your PADI Rescue Diver CPR prerequisite. The EFR Course is also widely recognised as a First Aid at work qualification.
